Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Cherrybrook Public School P&C Association
Cherrybrook Public School Parents & Citizens' Association is a registered voluntary group of parents/carers who work together to raise money to provide extra resources to maintain and improve facilities for our school.
Involvement with the P&C is a great way to meet other parents/carers and be a part of the school's operation and community.
The P&C manages the School Canteen, Uniform Shop, and Band Programs. They are also organise events to help raise funds for the school and its students.
The Committee meets twice a school term on Mondays, in weeks 2 and 9. The monthly meetings include discussion of various school related topics and future fundraising ideas as well as reports from the Principal and P&C Executive members. All parents/carers are warmly welcomed to attend these meetings and be involved in the discussion and decision making of ideas for our school, together with the School Executive.
In February each year, the Annual General Meeting is held. One of the important functions of this meeting is to elect the P&C Executive Committee, consisting of volunteer parents who are willing to take leadership positions for the P&C. The P&C Executive consists of the President, two Vice-Presidents, the Secretary, and the Treasurer. There are also other leadership positions associated with fundraising activities.
