Students in Years 3 and 5 are assessed in Reading, Writing, Language Conventions (Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation) and Numeracy, using the national assessment program. Parents are provided with a report outlining their child's performance and schools are provided with valuable comparative data which is used to inform programs and focus areas.

The weekly newsletter is available each Tuesday of the school term. This is available by email or on the school website for your convenience. You can subscribe to receive an e-newsletter on our website.

Communication procedures are varied and numerous at our school. The school uses SchoolEnews to disseminate information to parents about class activities, sport, band, choir, P&C, excursions etc. Class teachers also have access to other programs that they use to notify parents of important and relevant information. This school website has the latest information regarding the school. Invoices and excursion permission notes are sent home with term accounts to parents for payment of school fees and excursions. It is important that permission notes are signed and returned to your child's class teacher once payment has been made. Some activities may require a separate permission note sent home during a school term. Cherrybrook Public School also has its own twitter account. This can be found at

We encourage all parents to avoid sending nut products to school for their children to eat. We can not guarantee that the school is totally free of this food type. For more information on government guidelines follow this link.
