From time to time students and families will be involved in activities which may be of interest to the media or useful in promoting the school through information brochures or our school website. To acknowledge and celebrate student achievement, children's work including writing and artwork, photographs of school/class activities may be used. Staff may also video students engaging in teaching and learning experiences. To ensure no child is filmed or photographed against their wishes, the school has established a register of students who are not to be filmed or have their photograph and work used for the above activities.

Individual health plans are required to ensure the safety and welfare of students with serious medical conditions. Parents are asked to provide a photograph and details of the child's medical conditions (with doctor's approval). These are maintained in the administration area. Staff are made aware of any students in  their care that have medical conditions. It is anticipated that enhanced staff awareness and understanding will result in the utilisation of effective preventative and emergency strategies to meet student needs.

If your child requires medication during the day, please contact the school office.

At the beginning of every school year, we hold a meet the teacher evening where you meet your child's classroom teacher.

The merit award system is designed to award effort, achievement and good behaviour. Awards are given out at K - 2 (weekly) and 3 - 6 (fortnightly) assemblies. A whole school assembly is also held each Monday to hand out merit cards to one student from each class that has displayed a specific behaviour, skill or attitude during the previous week. STAR award assemblies are held at the end of each term to recognise the exemplary behaviour of three students in every class for that term.
